THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT, AND EXTENSION SERVICES (ORDExS)

About ORDExS

The Office of Research & Development, and Extension Services (ORDExS), as the name suggests, performs the two essential pillars of the four-fold functions of the University; the other two are instruction and production. ORDExS is the nerve center for all academic research, development, and extension services. The Research & Development, and Extension (RDE) service center is under the University President’s stewardship through the Vice President for Research & Development, and Extension Services (VPRDE). The VPRDE is joined by the Director for Research & Development, and by the Extension Services Director serving as the operating managers down the line to the respective Heads under the ORDExS, the RDE Heads of the colleges, the RDE Heads of the External Campuses, and RDE administrative (teaching and non-teaching) support staff and personnel. The University Research & Development, and Extension Council (URDEC), comprising faculty researchers/extension scholars, students, public and private agency partners, the private HEIs and SUCs, and other stakeholders, serve as the RDE academic community of EVSU.

The Office of Research & Development, and Extension Services (ORDExS), as the name suggests, performs the two essential pillars of the four-fold functions of the University; the other two are instruction and production. ORDExS is the nerve center for all academic research, development, and extension services. The Research & Development, and Extension (RDE) service center is under the University President’s stewardship through the Vice President for Research & Development, and Extension Services (VP-RDE). The VP for RDE is joined by the Director for Research & Development, and by the Extension Services Director serving as the operating managers down the line to the respective Heads under the ORDExS, the RDE Heads of the colleges, the RDE Heads of the External Campuses, and RDE administrative (teaching and non-teaching) support staff and personnel. The University Research & Development, and Extension Council (URDEC), comprising faculty researchers/extension scholars, students, public and private agency partners, the private HEIs and SUCs, and other stakeholders, serve as the RDE academic community of EVSU.

The inevitable charge inherent of the ORDExS as the RDE Center of EVSU, therefore, is in the leadership of developing and nurturing a broad-based RDE community of stakeholders whose shared-values, interests, and passion for work are commensurate to the beliefs and undertakings of the EVSU RDExS Centers. This community is comprised of the institutional stakeholders of EVSU (students, faculty & administrators, and community) and the Institutional partners/co-makers who are multiple stakeholders (individuals, sectoral groups, and civic/civil organization/s juridical or legal persons, LGUs, NGOs, and others), forming the ORDExS communiversidad (community and university). Together they shall craft beneficial undertakings that are program/project based. The activities are, thus, identified based on the nature of institutional mandate/cooperation/collaboration and or mutual agreements/undertakings and some other meaningful relationships with identified partners (HEIs, LGUs, INGOs, NGOs, Public and Private Organizations, and others) forming a unique linkage/partnership and networking arrangements.
